WASHINGTON - This week, Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10) delivered a speech on the House floor to honor the legacy of Leroy Lail, a Catawba County legend who passed away in February at the age of 85. In addition to founding the Hickory Furniture Mart, Mr. Lail went on to achieve success in the hospitality and tourism sectors. A staunch advocate for higher education, Mr. Lail served on the UNC Board of Governors for thirteen years.
