Internships

Congressman McHenry’s office is always accepting resumes from college students interested in a Congressional internship.

By assisting the Congressman’s district staff in Hickory, interns have the opportunity to gain a working knowledge of how a Congressional office provides constituent services and interacts with the community.

Interns in the Washington, D.C. office have the opportunity to learn about the legislative process and the federal government by working closely with legislative, communications, and constituent relations staff members.

A stipend is available to Congressional interns, however, any student receiving academic credit for their internship will not be eligible to receive the stipend.

The internship program is open to all college students and recent graduates, regardless of major.

Interested candidates should contact Congressman McHenry’s Washington, D.C. or Hickory offices or contact us directly by emailing us at NC10interns@gmail.com.
