Today, the Jobs and Economy Task Force Leader, Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10), announced the Task Force’s solutions to create opportunities for American workers, support small businesses, provide flexibility to working families, and ensure fulfilling careers for future generations.
In a Washington Examiner op-ed, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01), a leader of the Task Force’s workforce pillar, outlines Republicans’ focus on long-term investments in our workforce that will foster opportunity and economic growth nationwide.
“Under Democrats’ one-party rule, Washington has failed American workers,” said Rep. McHenry.“Families are facing falling real wages, job creators are confronting labor shortages, and small businesses are under attack. Under Republican leadership, our country saw some of the greatest economic gains in a generation. This administration and misguided Democratic policies squandered that progress. Today, our task force is releasing a series of common sense, pro-growth solutions that will empower American workers and put us back on the road to economic success.”
“In contrast with President Biden’s and Speaker Pelosi’s disastrous economic agenda that has caused rampant inflation and discouraged work, the Republican Jobs and Economy Task Force is developing forward-looking solutions to invest in American workers and grow our economy again,” said Rep. Hinson. “We are developing a legislative blueprint to directly prepare people with the skills to succeed in the 21st Century economy and provide the flexibility working families need. I am grateful to Congressman Patrick McHenry for his leadership on the Task Force, and look forward to continuing our important work.”
