ICYMI: McHenry Leads House GOP Roundtable on the Economy

This week, Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10), the top Republican on the House Financial Services Committee, led a roundtable organized by Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) to highlight President Biden and Democrats’ abysmal record on the economy. With inflation surging to a four-decade high, store shelves across the country empty, and small businesses unable to find workers, Democrats have no real plan to address the challenges facing our economic recovery.

At the roundtable McHenry outlined these growing problems, saying, "For one year, Democrats have controlled the House, the Senate, and the White House. And it’s been a year of crises — preventable crises… The labor force participation rate, those who are actively participating in our economy, remains stagnant. Our economy is not actively creating any new jobs at this point.”

Ranking Member McHenry was joined at the roundtable by Financial Services Committee members French Hill (AR-06) and Barry Loudermilk (GA-11), as well as Republican Whip Steve Scalise (LA-01), Jason Smith (MO-08), Jeff Duncan (SC-03), Stephanie Bice (OK-05), and Young Kim (CA-39).
