The Biden Administration Has Failed American Renters
When we make a promise to renters, it is our duty to honor it. Yet, the Biden Administration has failed to get emergency rental assistance funds to the COVID-impacted renters in need. Of the $46 billion in rental aid allocated by Congress, only 6.5% has reached Americans who need it. That is why I, along with all the Republican Members of the Financial Services Committee, introduced the Renter Protection Act in June to help ensure pandemic relief was getting to COVID-impacted renters.
Instead of taking up my bill which would have addressed this critical issue last month, Democrats have focused on their partisan priorities. Friday morning, I testified before the House Rules Committee to oppose the Democrats' 11th-hour attempt to cover-up for President Biden's mismanagement of the ERA rental aid funding.
