Operation Warp Speed

In May, President Trump launched Operation Warp Speed, a groundbreaking partnership between the Federal Government, scientific community, and private sector to quickly develop and deliver a safe and effective vaccine against the coronavirus. Operation Warp Speed is a testament to the power of American innovation as our scientists and manufacturers work together to provide this crucial tool in our battle against the pandemic. I am thankful for President Trump’s efforts to get this done. Click here to learn more about Operation Warp Speed courtesy of the White House.

Supporting Our Local Tenth District Businesses

As we celebrate the holiday weekend with family and loved ones, let us also celebrate by supporting our Tenth District small businesses and the vital role they play in our communities. I encourage everyone to do what they can to continue supporting small businesses and the millions of jobs they support all across the country. Although some small businesses have been allowed to safely reopen, many are still impacted by restrictions. Here are some tips on how you can continue to support local businesses as we continue to combat the coronavirus pandemic in our communities.

Respond to the 2020 Census by September 30th

September is the last month you can participate in the 2020 Census. If you haven't responded to the 2020 Census, remember to respond by September 30th and remind friends and family that their response is needed too. Remember each response helps to ensure our communities here in the Tenth District and across our state receive the funding and resources we need. Respond today by visiting or calling 844-330-2020. Click here or on the image below to learn more about the 2020 Census and how your response can impact your communities.

President in Port City: Trump officially declares Wilmington a WWII Heritage City during battleship ceremony

On Wednesday, President Trump visited North Carolina to designate Wilmington, NC as the nation’s very first American World War II Heritage City. IIn addition to recognizing this incredible honor for our state, President Trump met with veterans and toured the Battleship North Carolina to commemorate the contributions of Wilmington to the U.S. victory in World War II.

Payrolls increase by nearly 1.4 million as the unemployment rate tumbles

Although we still have more work to do to support the businesses impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, the August jobs report brought some good news for American workers. Unemployment dropped to 8.2%, far exceeding expectations, and 1.4 million jobs were added last month. I am thankful for President Trump's continued support for American businesses and workers as we work to support those that have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
