The Paycheck Protection Program is Working

While our communities have been battling the impacts of the coronavirus, the Paycheck Protection Program has helped to keep Tenth District small businesses open. Across the country, more than 4.5 million PPP Loans have been processed by the Small Business Administration to help small businesses keep workers on payroll throughout the crisis. Now, as communities across the country work to reopen, it’s clear the PPP is supporting our economic recovery. Click here to learn more about the Paycheck Protection Program.

Remember to Fill Out the 2020 Census

If you haven't completed the 2020 Census yet, remember to do your part so that you can help ensure that your community is receiving the funding and the resources it needs. The data collected by the Census can determine funding for fire stations, schools, health clinics, and more for our communities here in the Tenth District. You can fill out the 2020 Census online, over the phone, or by mail. Visit 2020census.gov to learn more about how you can be counted. An Opportunity For Tenth District Student Artists

In order to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment, which gave American women the right to vote, First Lady Melania Trump has announced that she will launch an exhibit called: Building the Movement: America’s Youth Celebrate 100 Years of Women’s Suffrage. The exhibit will launch this August and will showcase artwork by young Americans depicting this historic milestone. To create this exhibit, the First Lady is asking students across the United States and its territories for submissions depicting individuals, objects, and events representing the women’s suffrage movement. Click here or on the image below to learn how to submit artwork and how young artists here in the Tenth District can celebrate 100 years of women's suffrage.

Last week, the Senate confirmed President Trump's 200th judicial nomination since the first nomination of his presidency in 2017. In addition to confirming 143 district court judges, and 53 circuit court judges, the Senate has confirmed two Supreme Court Justices, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh. In comparison, former President Barack Obama successfully appointed 334 federal judges and former President George W. Bush successfully appointed 340 judges during their two terms in office, highlighting the tremendous success the Trump Administration has had in this vitally important work.
