Open Border Policies Are Dangerous

This March, there were over 220,000 border encounters, a new historic high that surpassed the previous record set in July. Thanks to the Biden administration’s open border policies there have now been more than 3.1 million illegal immigrant crossings since Biden took office. Under President Biden 42 people on the terrorist watchlist have been apprehended at our southern border. What makes this even more alarming is these are only the ones that have been captured by US Customs and Border Protection. Over 2,000 people a day are evading capture. The crisis at the border is threatening American lives. We must secure our border.

And now, Biden’s anti-energy agenda is jeopardizing our national security with our Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) depleted by 40%—a level not seen since 1984. We need American energy independence now, not reckless far-left policies that cause even more pain at the pump.

Pine Lake Preparatory in Mooresville sent their robotics team to Houston, Texas to compete against hundreds of teams from around the world at the FIRST Robotics competition. The team qualified for the world competition earlier this month by winning the Engineering Inspiration Award in a regional competition at Campbell University.
