Spending Time in the Tenth District
I always enjoy meeting the leaders, businesses, and organizations that make the Tenth District such a wonderful place to call home. My first stop was with Ben Shelton at Rocky Creek Dairy in Olin. There I met with Ben and several Iredell County agriculture leaders to discuss issues impacting dairy farms and the broader agriculture community. I am grateful for our farmers that work so hard to put food on our table and I appreciate the insight that helps me take action in Washington. Thank you to County Extension Director Nancy Keith for organizing this opportunity.
I also had the opportunity to tour Iredell Health System's new Mooresville Campus. This facility includes Iredell Urgent Care, which is open 24 hours a day. It has an ambulatory surgery center and a diagnostic imaging center. I am thankful to have this facility to serve our community. Thanks to CEO John Green and his team for being excellent hosts.
My last stop was at Hotchkis Sport Suspension in Mooresville. Thank you to John Hotchkis for hosting me and for a terrific discussion on my legislation designed to protect the motorsports community, the RPM Act. Hotchkis Sport Suspension is a manufacturer of car, truck, and SUV suspension handling kits. Like many other businesses in the Tenth District, they are a major part of our local economy that would be harmed by unnecessary EPA regulation. It was great to see so many leaders in racing showing support for their colleagues and for the sport.
