Congressman McHenry Weekly Update

Improving Our Nation's Infrastructure

On Friday, the House voted to help fulfill one of President Trump’s promises: providing families in the Tenth District and all across the country with long-overdue infrastructure improvements. The FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018 not only bolsters aviation infrastructure to help ensure air travel across America is safe, it also strengthens disaster relief by including important reforms that help communities prepare and respond to natural disasters like hurricanes, wildfires, and tornadoes. National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

This Saturday was National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, a day aimed at raising awareness of the potential for misuse of prescribed medications and also providing a safe place to dispose of unused prescriptions. Thousands of locations across the U.S., including many right here in the Tenth District, participated as designated drop off points to safely dispose unused prescription drugs to help prevent prescription drug abuse and help prevent addiction. If you were unable to participate in Saturday's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, you can click here to find a location in the Tenth District where you can safely dispose of your unused prescription drugs.
