Congressman McHenry Weekly Update

Helping Tenth District Veterans

Last week, we observed Veterans Day, paying tribute to the brave men and women who have served in our nation's military. The Tenth District is home to almost 50,000 veterans alone. It is my honor to represent these men and women in Congress and to provide any assistance they may need. If you or someone you know needs assistance with veterans affairs issues, please do not hesitate to contact my office by clicking here. Today and every day, I am grateful for everything these heroes have done to defend our freedoms and keep our country safe. God bless all our men and women who have served.

Financial Services Committee Update

Last week, during the House Financial Services Committee hearing with prudential regulators, I highlighted the importance of coming together to ensure our financial stability as we continue to combat the pandemic and look towards full economic recovery. We have the ability to find good, bipartisan solutions that help promote a successful financial system that is inclusive and addresses the needs of the American people. Yet, my colleagues continue to choose divisiveness over bipartisanship and that is disappointing. Click here or on the image below to watch my opening remarks.

Delivering a Safe and Effective Vaccine

Last week we received some good news from Pfizer in our battle against the coronavirus. Now we are one step closer to developing a safe and effective vaccine. This success is thanks to President Trump’s Operation Warp Speed, which brings together our nation’s top scientists and manufacturers in order to quickly develop and deliver a safe and effective vaccine against the coronavirus. It is great to see the power of American innovation at work.

The Tenth District is also doing its part to help ensure the vaccine is safely distributed across America. Click here tlearn more about a local connection to the nationwide effort to distribute the vaccine whenever it is ready.
