Congressman McHenry Weekly Update A Busy District Work WeekWith the House out of session, it was great to spend time visiting Tenth District constituents. I spent Tuesday in Maiden, beginning with a visit to LOV Home Decor & More. Veteran Kevin Popko created the non-profit, Love Our Veterans, to assist local veterans with their specific needs. His store helps fund his mission to provide tailored assistance to those that have given so much to us. Thank you to Kevin and his family as well as all the employees, volunteers, and board members that welcomed me to your store. I am grateful for your service to our veterans and our community.Later in the day, it was wonderful to spend some time with Maiden officials and hear about all the town has going on. Many thanks to Mayor Max Bumgarner, Town Manager Todd Herms, and Police Chief Tracy Ledford for all you do to serve the residents of Maiden and the NC-10 community. When back home in the Tenth District I always enjoy being in-studio at WHKY. Congressman McHenry Weekly Update

A Busy District Work Week

With the House out of session, it was great to spend time visiting Tenth District constituents. I am grateful for your service to our veterans and our community.

Later in the day, it was wonderful to spend some time with Maiden officials and hear about all the town has going on. Many thanks to Mayor Max Bumgarner, Town Manager Todd Herms, and Police Chief Tracy Ledford for all you do to serve the residents of Maiden and the NC-10 community.

When back home in the Tenth District I always enjoy being in-studio at WHKY. It was great to give a Washington update on First Talk with Hal Rowe and outline my fight against the far left agenda of President Biden and the Democrats.

On Wednesday, I visited furniture maker Design Foundry in Catawba County to learn about the innovative culture they have fostered to attract and retain employees as the company continues its rapid growth. I am proud the Tenth District continues to be a leader in manufacturing.

Mourning the Passing of Senator James T. Broyhill

Senator Jim Broyhill was a dedicated public servant who proudly served the Tenth District for twenty-four years. He will be remembered not only for his landmark legislative work but also for his dedication to constituent services and the people of the Tenth District. Giulia and I extend our deepest sympathies to Senator Broyhill’s wife Louise, their children Ed and Marilyn, and the entire Broyhill family as they mourn his passing. Read my full statement below or by clicking here.

Joining the Ben Domenech Podcast

Recently, I joined Ben Domenech on his Fox News podcast to discuss the importance of combatting the Chinese Communist Party, the debt ceiling, and what it means to me to be a U.S. Representative serving your constituents in Washington. Listen by clicking here. You can watch the interview on YouTube by clicking here or on the image below.

What I've Been Reading

Iredell sheriff visits Washington, takes in State of the Union

Statesville Record and Landmark

I was proud to have Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell join me for the State of the Union address last week. Prior to the President’s speech, I also enjoyed meeting with Sheriff Campbell and I had the chance to sit down and discuss all that he and his team are doing to help keep the Tenth District safe.

End of an era: Cherryville basketball coach Scott Harrill reflects on legendary career

Gaston Gazette

To celebrate his last home game, current and former players of Cherryville High School basketball coach Scott Harrill came together to honor his remarkable career. Coach Harrill’s 411 wins are the most in Gaston County high school basketball history. Please join me in congratulating Coach Harrill on everything he has accomplished as the head coach of the Ironmen.

Ready to get to work on behalf of Burke County

The Paper

Check out the op-ed I wrote for the first edition of The Paper, a new weekly paper in Burke County. You can also click here to read the full op-ed on my website. In it, I shared my priorities for the 118th Congress and outlined how I work for the people of the Tenth District, which is again part of the Tenth District. It is an honor to represent you!
