Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here in western North Carolina. As we enjoy this holiday with friends and family we are reminded of how much we have to be thankful for as Americans. Celebrating Tenth District Businesses

Small businesses play a vital role in helping our communities and economy grow. In fact, small businesses are responsible for two out of every three new jobs created in the United States. This Saturday is Small Business Saturday a day to celebrate these job creators. To help celebrate, I wanted to share a brief story about one small business that changed my life. 	Trump spares turkey named 'Butter' with a Thanksgiving pardon CNN As part of the Thanksgiving tradition to pardon a turkey, this year President Trump welcomed two North Carolina turkeys to Washington. The turkeys, named Bread and Butter, enjoyed a night at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel before heading to the White House for this time-honored tradition. Butter received the official Presidential pardon, but don’t worry, both turkeys have been invited to spend the rest of their days at Gobbler’s Rest at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.
