Today, the House Financial Services Committee held a hearing with Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell to discuss their continued response to the COVID-19 pandemic and our accelerating economic recovery. At the hearing, Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10), the Republican Leader of the House Financial Services Committee, delivered opening remarks calling for our economy to safely reopen and highlighting the need for targeted relief, not wasteful spending like the Democrats' partisan package that dedicated only 9% of its funding to coronavirus relief.
