Chief Deputy Whip Patrick McHenry (NC-10) released the following statement on the passing of businessman and philanthropist Robert McNair, a native of Rutherford County: 

“Giulia and I are saddened to learn of Robert McNair’s passing. Throughout his life, McNair never forgot where he was raised. He created a transformative educational foundation that has improved the lives of countless young people in Rutherford County while also helping numerous other local causes. Our prayers are with his wife Janice and the entire McNair family as they mourn his passing."
