Below is a statement by Congressman Patrick McHenry (R-NC-10) regarding today’s terror attacks in London:

“Civilization has again been attacked by rabid terrorists who want to destroy free society and kill people who revere freedom and democracy. Our hearts go out to the families of those murdered in London by those who put violence and bloodshed above peace and prosperity.”

“As President Bush has said, it is vital that we remain vigilant against terrorism – especially those of us who work in federal, state and local government. I will be in contact with the Department of Homeland Security, as well as my friend Chris Cox, the congressman who heads the House Committee on Homeland Security, to make sure we are doing all we can in western North Carolina to thwart any potential attacks here.”
