More than 700 people showed up to talk with Congressman Patrick McHenry, a Republican serving North Carolina's 10th district. Many people could not get inside the Mooresville town hall. This is why it was encouraging to hear that Congressman Patrick McHenry voted this week in favor of replenishing the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund, which covers the cost of extended unemployment benefits for jobless workers. The Department of Labor anticipates the fund will run out in August. It is obvious the 10th District congressman recognizes the importance of helping jobless workers and their families in these tough economic times. Read more »
