Today, the House Financial Services Committee held its second GameStop hearing. During his opening remarks, Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10), the Republican Leader of the House Financial Services Committee, denounced Democrats' continued attempts to push progressive priorities—like a harmful financial transaction tax (FTT)—under the guise of “consumer protection." Congressman McHenry wants to remove the barriers that limit access to our capital markets and provide more opportunities for everyday investors.
