Today, Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10) released the following statement after his vote against H. Res. 798, which transmits the Articles of Impeachment against President Trump to the Senate:

"Again today, the House is focused solely on my Democratic colleagues’ years long obsession: undoing the results of the 2016 election. While obvious from the beginning, Speaker Pelosi’s month long delay in transmitting the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate has confirmed the political goals behind Congressional Democrats' drive for impeachment.

"In the weeks ahead, this partisan process will come to an end and Donald Trump will still be President. Hopefully then Congress will get back to work and join with President Trump in his efforts to grow our economy and create good-paying jobs for the American people."
