September 19, 2019
Today, Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10) announced the first ever Tenth District Congressional App Challenge. The Congressional App Challenge (CAC) was established by the United States House of Representatives in 2014. This competition encourages middle and high school students to create and submit their own app for the opportunity to receive national recognition.
"I am excited to announce the first ever Congressional App Challenge here in the Tenth District," said Congressman McHenry. "This challenge will give Tenth District student coders a chance to showcase their innovative ideas through their app designs. I look forward to seeing this year's submissions." The winning app from each Congressional District will be featured on a display in the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. The winners will also be invited to the #HouseofCode Capitol Hill Reception and are eligible to win a $250 Amazon Web Service credit. All entries must be submitted by Friday, November 1st, 2019.
