Chief Deputy Whip Patrick McHenry (R, NC-10) released the following statement on the passing of former First Lady Nancy Reagan:

"Giulia and I are saddened to learn of Mrs. Reagan's passing. She was a lady of true grace and dignity who served as a towering presence during her time as First Lady. The only comfort of her passing is the knowledge she is now reunited with her beloved husband. Our prayers are with the Reagan family as they mourn their loss."
