Today, Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10), Chairman of the Oversight Subcommittee on TARP, Financial Services and Bailouts of Public and Private Programs, issued the following remarks regarding the release of June employment numbers:

“The word I hear most from small business folks: uncertainty.  Uncertainty costs jobs and that’s what we’re seeing in this report. Unfortunately, federal policy is creating this uncertainty and it's further proof that the President’s economic policies are failing.  Small businesses cannot thrive under the burdensome regulations and taxes in ObamaCare and are struggling to get lending under Dodd-Frank.  The debt hangover from the failed “stimulus” is costing us jobs.  Now is the time to restore fiscal responsibility in our government and reject tax increases – our job creators deserve nothing less.”
